Welcome to the AGA Self-Assessment Module (SAM) on Gastrointestinal and Hepatic Clinical Pharmacology! Originally authored in 2015, the content was reviewed in April 2020 and updated to match current scientific knowledge.
We’re excited to re-offer this very popular learning module for your use in studying and staying current. We believe SAMs represents a unique contribution to your continuing medical education.
As the title suggests, the questions were written from learning objectives which focused on the medications we use in gastroenterology and hepatology, rather than on the diseases. This module should serve all learners as a useful exercise for identifying any current knowledge gaps, and providing the resources for self-directed learning. The module questions were written in a boards-style format, with a high level of review for content and function. The module questions also serve to provide excellent practice for your board exam review in a focused area of gastroenterology and internal medicine.
