The overall goal of this program is to provide advanced practice providers (APPs) knowledge and guidance on a more precise approach to effectively diagnose and treat a variety of GI disorders in order to deliver optimal patient care.

Session 1 - Upper GI Disorders

One	How to Approach Dysphagia	Outline a pragmatic approach to the evaluation of dysphagia including the appropriate use of endoscopy, manometry and barium swallow.

Session 2 - Diarrhea and Functional Disorders

Two	Irritable Bowel Syndrome: Current Thinking	Identify cost-effective and pragmatic approach to diagnosing IBS and newest therapeutics (FODMAPS diet, pharmacologic therapies, etc.).

Session 3 - Liver Disease

Three	Strategic Cirrhosis Management: A Practical Approach	Compare modalities to diagnose cirrhosis (including non-invasive tests). When to refer to a transplant center. Current epidemiology of transplantation.

Session 5 - IBD and Lower GI Disorders

Six	Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis: Diagnosis and Management Strategies	Discuss the diagnosis and management of Crohn's disease. Report emerging  therapies for management of  ulcerative colitis.
Seven	Colorectal Cancer  Screening: Latest Guidelines and Recommendations	Review consensus definitions of genetic syndromes associated with colorectal cancer, including FAP and HNPCC, when to suspect them, when to refer and screening and surveillance protocols.
