Screening, Risk Stratification, and Solutions: Reducing GI and Liver Cancer in the Latino Community

In honor of Hispanic Heritage month, this webinar was co-hosted with Latinos in Gastroenterology and Hepatology (La LiGaH). The session began with a keynote presentation examining the current state of GI and liver malignancies in the Latino community, including the rising disease burden and critical unmet needs. Building on this foundation, a panel of three experts discussed their work in Latino communities and explored key research and clinical care priorities for improving outcomes.

La LiGaH is an established AGA Member Network with a mission to promote health equity within Hispanic/Latino communities. Its objectives include advancing scientific research and supporting the professional development of Hispanic/Latino gastroenterologists, hepatologists, scientists, and all individuals committed to meeting the GI and hepatology needs of the Hispanic/Latino population.
