Significant advances in duodenoscope design have occurred over the past two years to reduce infections. These advances represent a potential paradigm shift for clinicians and health care systems from a clinical, logistical and financial perspective. As technology advances to control duodenoscope-related infections, this program's objective is to provide comprehensive education for GIs on duodenoscope-related infections including challenges, potential solutions, and key considerations in transitioning to innovative duodenoscope designs including duodenoscopes with disposable components and single-use duodenoscopes. This is the first of two webinars that reviews editorials written by experts on innovation in duodenoscope design.
