This activity is a collaboration between Excalibur Medical Education, myCME and AGA. The goal of this educational activity is to improve the knowledge and competence of gastroenterologists regarding the management and treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), as well as improving learners’ real-world clinical performance. This will be done through a series of four visually interactive case-based challenges presented as a 60-minute, immersive educational offering utilizing the escape room format and , two educational pocket guides.

Learning Objectives:
- Assess the role of host genetics, diet, antibiotics, and inflammation in the development of IBD
- Recognize factors that have found to be predictive of a more or less severe disease course among patients diagnosed with IBD
- Identify the efficacy and safety of currently approved biologic and small molecule therapeutics, as well as those under late-stage investigation, for the treatment of patients with IBD
- Select appropriate questions to ask patients with gastrointestinal conditions such as Crohn’s disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC) during routine visits that may help quickly uncover core issues to be resolved by the patient and healthcare team
