Join us for this upcoming event in our Gastro Bites series — virtual webinars with leading experts.
During the first portion of the session, we will discuss diet therapy and the choice between a step-up or step-down approach for treating eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) patients.
Register
Learning objectives for the initial discussion:
- To gain facility with implementing diet therapy for EoE.
- To know when it is appropriate to treat EoE patients with a step-up or step-down approach.
- Discuss the role of maintenance therapy in treating EoE including the role of esophageal dilation in treatment.
The latter half of the session will feature a product theater focused on a treatment option for your appropriate patients with eosinophilic esophagitis. An expert will walk us through long-term clinical data and an example of an appropriate patient.
Learning objectives for product theater:
- Examine the epidemiology and symptoms associated with EoE and recognize adaptive behaviors patients take that can mask EoE symptoms.
- Understand that EoE is an inflammatory disease triggered by environmental and dietary allergens and characterized by Type 2 inflammation.
- Recognize that EoE may be a progressive disease that requires a treatment option that reduces EoE symptoms, improves endoscopic appearance, and demonstrates histologic response.
