Learning objectives
After watching this meeting, attendees should be able to:
- Describe the way diet affects the microbiome and its impact on overall health and diseases, ranging from cancer to cardiovascular disease.
- Provide examples of translating microbiome science into practice.
- Recognize the role of fiber, including the impact of different types of fiber and when more or less fiber is warranted in an individual’s diet.
- Identify the extra-intestinal implications of the gut microbiome and elements of the extra-bacterial gut ecosystem.
